Getting Started - Juniors

The club runs fun social evenings every week on Mondays from 6:30pm – 7:30pm for Under 13s. Our Coach and parents volunteer to make these evenings possible so that all the kids have fun and learn a few basic tennis skills. All equipment is provided.

There is a small fee of €2 to cover equipment, admin and occasional prizes. Non-members are welcome to try the U13’s evenings for up to 3 sessions. After that we look for the participants to join the club membership.

If your child is a non-member:

If your child is a member:
To book a space for your child you will first need to download the Spond app – Download Here

Once you have registered on Spond, your request is next approved by the Junior committee. Once  approved you  will receive invites to upcoming Junior Social Events.

We ask that each child brings a filled name tagged water bottle. Please make sure they are dressed appropriately. Although we are weather-dependent, we do try to play in all weather.

Interested in helping out?

We are always looking for Junior Parents to come down and help out on Junior night – if you are interested please get in touch with Children’s Officer Claire or Deputy Liaison Person (DLP) Emma.

14+ Social Tennis

As juniors are eligible to play adults from 14+ in tennis competition and league, we welcome and encourage juniors aged 14 and upwards (members only) to play social tennis on Thursdays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm to develop their confidence. Thursday Social is a mix of adults and juniors. If your child wishes to participate, please let us know in advice so that there is a Garda Vetted volunteer available during that time. Parents are always welcome to come down to supervise either and say hello! Contact our Juniors Coordinator, Emma, if your child wishes to attend Social Night, 087 2981944.

Please note:  If your junior wishes to attend Thursday Social Tennis and they have never attended before please let either Claire or Emma know that we can confirm its firstly going ahead and also ensure there is someone to greet them on the evening.
